Over 70 people attended the Joan Butts 'D Day ' workshop held at the club just recently. Joan covered all aspects of defence; opening leads, discards, when to cover and when no to cover, just to name a few. it was a successful day with lunch included. The day fully paid for by the Gold Congress committee

The Gold Congress was a huge success. Tournament organser, Phil Houlton asked if each player would give $5 as a donation to farmers struggling in the drought . The Congress matched the amount donated and Rotary Coffs Harour matched it again.
Nearly $14,000 was given to the 9650 Rotary, which covers central and northern NSW and Reg Peirce, Moderator, assured us this would go directly to the farmers and they could use it in whatever they needed the most; hay, petrol, electricity .

Locals James Parker,Julie Bryant, Nerellyn Mitchell came 2nd in the <300Mps Teams event and Warwick and James came 3rd in < 300Mps Pairs . Well done
